Nelly was our first dog that we had together & a very welcome addition. When she arrived firmly glued herself to my side & that’s really where she remained . I had a decorating business at the time & along with Don who was converting a beautiful stable block , Nelly became part of the crew. She was well socialised with all trades & the noises associated . Nelly grew into a lovely young lady & after having her health tested we decided to have a litter of puppies . She had two super litters of chocolate puppies with the lovely boy “Bailey” also sadly no longer with us. Elsie from her first litter & Ludo from her second. Nelly had a love of anything to do with water , being in it or on it. She accompanied us on weekends on our little sailing boat , learning the tacking rules, sleeping on the deck in the sunshine . She enjoyed her Gundog training along with her daughter Elsie , but the bug was truly bitten with her son Ludo. Though she was only lightly shown she took several first places , RBIB & also qualified for Crufts as a veteran . As she grew older she became a little stiff , walks were dictated by her desire to either come or stay at home . It was on such a day shortly after her twelve birthday that we returned home from a walk with the youngsters to find she’d peacefully passed away . Sweet dreams sweet sweet Nelly , you taught me so much & you live on through your wonderful off spring . We scattered her ashes in the surf at her favourite beach “Towan ” on the Roseland ,the first beach she visited as a tiny pup . Run free Nelly poo sticks….. February 14 2007 – February 25 2019 XXX

Ludo my big chocolate boy , the kindest , gentlest loyal dog that ever was . Nothing fazed him , he was born old & wise . He took to Gundog training , not the quickest , but steady & reliable . He enjoyed days picking up on shoots & was a firm favourite with everyone , being the only big show bred chocolate dog . We attended training days & entered a few working tests & achieved a Certificate of merit . We carried on his training & along with his niece Florence he gained his ” KC Working Gundog Certificate ” & was Crufts Qualified for life in the working dog class. He was also lightly shown & achieved some lovely placings . Ludo was a very experienced stud dog & sired many wonderful puppies , giving a little bit of himself to some super families & enriching many lives . Ludo wore many hats in his life , son , uncle , great uncle , show dog , Gundog , family dog , but best of all he was my best friend . Sleep tight Ludy do dee … June 29 2012 – September 23 2020 xxx
